Alcohol and Drug Recovery

Catholic Human Services (CHS) provides comprehensive outpatient Alcohol and Drug Recovery services for adults, adolescents, and families in northern Michigan. Our supportive clinical staff members are trained and certified to provide best-practice outpatient treatments to people with substance use disorders. Our services fully complement those involved in 12-step programs and other pathways to recovery.

CHS believes that everyone is unique. We approach treatment from a holistic perspective and view mind, body, and spirit as components of a healthy life. We begin by first listening and learning from each client, and then we use evidence-based treatments to build a personalized recovery program to suit the needs of each person.

Client Financial Assistance

At CHS, our client's well-being is our priority. We don't want the cost of treatment to be a barrier. We will bill health insurance whenever possible. CHS fees are charged on a sliding scale depending on income. And there are times when we can access Client Assistance Funds, which are made possible by generous donors.

We provide services in-person and virtually.

Peer Recovery Coaches

Certified peer recovery coaches are trained and state-certified individuals who have lived experience and have sustained long-term success in their recovery. They have a unique perspective and can assist clients throughout their recovery journey. Coaches maintain contact with an individual for as long as the client finds the support helpful.

At Catholic Human Services, peer recovery coaches play an important role in delivering services.
