Employee Assistance Program

Assistance for Employers and Employees

It's been a tough year for employees. According to a recent Gallup survey, the pandemic has created record levels of worry, stress, and depression throughout the American workforce. Roughly seven in 10 employees are struggling or suffering, rather than thriving, in their overall lives. That results in a large portion of employees disengaging at work. This lack of engagement costs the global economy nearly 10% of GDP, in lost productivity each year (Gallup, 2021).

As a northern Michigan business owner/executive, you have the power to make things a bit better. Invest in your employees' well-being by providing CHS's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to them. This cost-effective service is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free and confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees with personal and work-related problems.

Why Choose CHS EAP?
  • Services are provided promptly--and locally--in a private, confidential setting. There are no waiting lists so that appointments can be scheduled within two days of the initial contact.

  • CHS has been in the behavioral health business for decades. We have a caring, clinical staff committed to strengthening our northern Michigan families and communities.

  • CHS EAP addresses a broad and complex body of mental and emotional issues, such as alcohol and other substance abuse, stress, grief, family problems, and psychological disorders.

  • CHS EAP counselors also consult with managers and supervisors to address workplace conflict and other organizational challenges.  We help organizations prevent and cope with workplace violence, trauma, and other emergency response situations.

  • When you choose Catholic Human Services, you directly support a local, non-profit charity that has been strengthening northern Michigan families for 50 years.
