GIVE BACK. STAY CONNECTED. MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Are you retired and looking for a meaningful way to stay active and give back to your community? Catholic Human Services invites you to join our Senior Volunteer Programs, serving families, children, and older adults throughout Northern Michigan.

If you live in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, or Wexford County, we need your heart, your experience, and your time.

Our programs are part of AmeriCorps Seniors, a respected nationwide network of older adult volunteers. Eligible participants may receive a tax-free stipend of up to $320 per month while volunteering.

CLASSROOM GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEER

Make a lasting impact on the life of a child. Foster Grandparent volunteers serve as mentors, role models, and tutors for children in need—helping with reading, writing, math, and more. Volunteers commit to 15+ hours per week in schools, Head Start programs, daycare centers, YMCAs, summer camps, and other youth programs.

Beyond academics, classroom grandparents provide the steady, nurturing presence many children at risk need to thrive.
